Edition 20 (6 available)
Porcelain
18 cm x 25 cm x 4 cm
A pair of Blackbirds, in pale sky blue and warm white, the pair comprising one of each colour.
These are handmade. The original was made in clay, and from this a plaster mould was taken. They were then slip-cast in porcelain and high-fired. They are unglazed for a matt finish. Approximately life-size, they measure 18 cm from head to tail, and 25 cm across the wingspan. They are wall-mounted. Two picture hooks are supplied. (These are suitable for plasterboard, but you can use an alternative as suitable for your surface). An edition of 20 pairs, each pair is signed and numbered (1/20, 2/20 etc) on the reverse. They come with an additional signed certificate of authenticity.
They are very carefully packaged, in a box cushioned inside a second box, so that they may be safely posted.
Edition of 20 pairs (4 pairs left)
Resin with white metal detail
8 x 9 x 4 cm
A pair of small birds, painted in two colours, viridian green, and a slightly darker green, the pair comprising one of each colour.
These are handmade. The original was shaped in clay, a mould was made from this, from which they were individually cast, fettled and finished by hand. The details (legs) were cast in white metal and then assembled. They are approximately life-sized, freestanding, each one measuring 8 x 9 x 4 cm. They are fairly delicate and should be handled with care.
I cast 40 which were signed and numbered individually, but they are sold in pairs for an edition of 20. They come with an additional signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.
They are carefully packaged, in a rigid box inside a second box, so they are easily posted.

Edition 20 (3 available)
Porcelain
23.5 cm x 11 cm diameter
A large acorn in Apple green. This has an unglazed matt ‘cap’, and a glossy, glazed nut.
These are handmade objects. The original was made in clay, from this a plaster mould was taken, they were then slip-cast in porcelain, and bisque fired. Next they are glazed and high-fired, the detail (twig) is then assembled and hand-finished. A tiny 1mm hole is deliberate (allowing for air pressure) and any slight imperfection in the glaze is not a flaw but part of the character of a handmade work.
An edition of 20, each is initialled on one end of the twig. They come with an additional signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. (Please note: The outdoor pictures show a paler shade, Quercus ‘Sage’, which have been sold. Quercus ‘Apple’ is shown in the first two pictures on a brown background.) Porcelain is delicate and should be handled with care.
They are very carefully packaged, in a box cushioned inside a second outer box, so that they may be safely posted.
